Enjoy Being 50 + In the Beauty World

I've worked as a cosmetician/makeup artist as a career in my younger years. In those years of experience, I've worked on all ages and different complexions. As part of my training throughout cosmetic beauty college in this field; I learned a lot about what beauty means. I'll never forget one of my customer's as I assisted her at the cosmetic counter. She was confident and beautiful, and she wasn't afraid to tell her age. She was in her early 50's, and what I admired about her was how she carried herself. I've always recognized that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Remember that beauty comes from within. It doesn't matter how good you look on the outside if you aren't beautiful inside. A person glows when their beauty comes from inside. The outside palette of cosmetics just shines better! I learned throughout my career to not be afraid of the changes that are coming my way. I am now over 50 and enjoy my cosmetics as it is an art of beauty. It doesn't matter what age or culture you are; there is something beautiful about each and every person. I also believe it is up to the individual how they would like to express themselves when it comes to the art of makeup and selecting colors. Please don't look at makeup as a way to hide or mask flaws but rather a way to enhance your features. Makeup is used in many different ways in the industry: stage makeup, modeling, weddings,

everyday use, photography, burn victims and so much more! It is an art form and a way to express yourself, and if it makes you feel good, why not? There should be no intimidation about shopping for makeup or skincare. The beauty industry is for everyone.
